Noel Thomas
Painting with Parkinson's
December 13 – January 6, 2026
This solo show of watercolors by eminent Astoria artist Noel Thomas is also a benefit for the Northwest Parkinson's Foundation. Thomas has spent decades observing his surroundings—the people, places, and objects that are part of his life and inspire him to paint and draw. His artwork captures the character and natural beauty that give this region its unique identity and sense of place.
This exhibition stands as a celebration of the healing and transformative powers of artistic expression. Since Thomas was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2021, his creative journey has taken on new dimensions, underscoring the enduring power of creating art in the face of change. Now in his ninth decade, he continues to nurture his lifelong passion for painting and drawing, adapting his process with resilience and ingenuity.
