This show is mostly about the things that have changed forever, but still don't seem normal. We were reflecting on changes in our lives over the past few years, and how we've both been in our current art practices for ten years. Of course the pandemic cast a large shadow over the more recent past, but some of these things happened before that. Changes in relationships, family, health, places of residence, the communities we find ourselves in, what we eat, and even how much we drive. Some things changed and have gone back to normal. Some things are still changing. Most of it doesn't seem exactly normal yet. Maybe it's for the best. Karen has been having new experiences in New Mexico. Benz has been experimenting with color, painfully, full-on, face-first, and letting go of wanting to make sense.
